Many banks continue to approach their commercial customers with the same set of loan products. Many may be missing an opportunity to strengthen customer relationships by expanding their product set to include equipment finance. Our recent work for the Equipment Leasing and Finance Foundation (ELFF) showed that banks, in particular, appear to be “rediscovering” the attractiveness of leasing. In some cases it can be the lead product that results in a fuller relationship.
